I'll continue to update this list as more great notebook deals come available, but in the mean time be sure to also stop by the Black Friday Deals page on Amazon.com. They have lightning deals that start every 4 hours.
Everyone complains about the weight of the laptop they have to lug around to work and with the release of the new Macbook Air perhaps we've finally found a reason to ditch our 5 pound brethren and pick up the 2.3 pound 11.6 inch Macbook Air or the 2.9 pound 13 inch Macbook Air. I've seen them both up close and they truly are staggering. Then again, at a starting price of $999 for the smaller model and $1299 for the larger model perhaps a netbook is a better deal? Speaking of which, check out the netbook reviews at our sister site.
I was at CES this year specifically to cover netbooks but because I was only there for a few days I didn't have enough time to cover all of the notebooks as well. I did; however, have a chance to see this very nifty Samsung prototype AMOLED notebook though:
As you can tell the screen is see through. Pretty cool huh?

The rest of the top 10 bestselling notebooks are as follows:
Like last month, Apple had three notebooks in the bestsellers list. Asus and Toshiba managed to surpass HP with a few models. Against my prediction from last month the Windows 7 powered notebooks have not been able to crack Apple's stranglehold on the number 1 position. The Toshiba Satellite L505-S5993 priced at $579.99 was the closest to Apple, but it was more of a bargain laptop than a full featured laptop. Who will challenge the MacBook next month?.
Side Note: For some reason this post didn't publish on December 1st like I scheduled it, so I apologize for the delay.

This is the first in a series of posts I'll run every month that shows off the bestselling notebooks of the month. Kicking it off in first place position we have the Macbook Pro priced at $1,410 (the 13.3 inch variant model MB991LL/A). As you can see this notebook has been among the top of the bestsellers for months in a row:
The rest of the top 10 bestselling notebooks are as follows:
This month it was a win for Apple with three notebooks in the top five. HP primarily held onto the bottom section of the top 10 bestselling notebooks but my prediction moving into November is that the Windows 7 powered notebooks will start to take some top positions on the leader board. Windows 7 was only out for the very last portion of October and so in November with a whole month to go I believe we'll see some a lot more movement.
I like this section because I'm personally looking for a new laptop for my wife and it makes it easy to be able to sort by manufacturer, price etc. and still make sure I can get something that's from Windows 7.
I've personally never been a huge fan of laptops that have additional company logo's slapped on there to increase the price a few percentage point, but nevertheless here we have Toshiba offering a Ducati branded Satellite U500.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53 GHz processor with 4GB RAM. Also included is an ATI Radeon HD 4570 512MB discrete graphics card, which delivers great graphics performance. It is expected to be loaded with Windows 7 OS; however, this has not yet been confirmed. But because of the fact that no price or release date has been announced, it is a safe bet to expect that by the time these particulars are specified Windows 7 will already be out. You've got the regular ports on the side and including a slot load DVD burner. The laptop has a very attractive design with textured surface and Ducati badge is on the top of the lid.
Detailed specifications are not announced yet, but we'll have more on this one as it develops. I'd prefer to see more movie branded laptops myself... perhaps a District 9 branded alien laptop or you can always just stick with the Asus Transformers laptop.
* Intel Quad Core Q9000 Processor 2.0GHz; 4GB of DDR2 800 RAM, 2 Slots, 4GB Max
* NVidia GTX 260M Dedicated Graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM; Gaming Backpack and Gaming Mouse Included
* 640GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM); DVD SuperMulti Drive
* Windows Vista Home Premium (64 Bit) Operating System
* 15.6-inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 LCD Display; Free Eee Stick and 9 Games Included
Overall I think it'll be a great addition to Asus' line of gaming latops.
